About The Music And Storytelling Experience

Icelandic Music And Storytelling, A Journey Through Icelandic History, Life And Traditions - Creative Iceland

A journey through Icelandic history, life and traditions…

I will tell stories and perform folk songs related to the Icelandic tales. I will also open up the space for questions about Iceland, its people, culture and all in between.

After seven years of tour guiding I have become a specialist in taking my guests on a journey through the Icelandic history, its stories about ghosts, elves and the peculiar local traditions.

The experience is held at a beautiful wooden building which was built in 1896. You will understand how special this place is the moment you step inside its doors. The building has been one of the most important cultural centers in Reykjavík ever since. Any local would encourage you to visit it. The house is not only a concert hall and restaurant but also a co-working space for graphic designers and has a music recording studio in the attic. The café is open every day so you can buy coffee, cake, food or drinks to take out or enjoy afterwards in the beautiful spaces in the house.

The combination of music and story telling has been widely appreciated and I am glad to open up this experience for travelers visiting Iceland, my home country.
