Welcome to my home where I create the most wonderful pieces that hundreds of Icelandic women wear today. In our Icelandic crochet experience I will teach you some basic techniques to create a bracelet, a hair band and a hair bow, in the way that many Icelandic women do it. We will also have a relaxed conversation while we work and talk about Icelandic crochet, pattern designs and other interesting facts about this relaxing and social activity in Iceland.
We will start at my home studio located in downtown Reykjavik, where we will be for approximately 2 hours. Then, as an option, you can decide if you would like to visit one of my favorite wool shops where I get my yarn and thread which is 15 minutes walk away. There, for about 20 to 30 minutes, I will show you the different materials and you will have the chance to buy your own yarn for your next crochet project!
Hopefully you will discover something new about yourself by getting in touch with one of the most popular Icelandic traditions still alive today.

About your host
I have been crocheting since I was very little. I have learned this art from my grandmother and great-grandmother. Through what I have learned, and also my own creations, I teach this tradition to young and not so young people alike!
